God Will Honor Your Faith Walk

The definition of trust is a firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of

someone or something. The word of God teaches us that we have to trust God for every

aspect of our lives if we want to see the things that we are hoping and praying for.

But as humans we struggle sometimes with trusting things that we cannot see. If we

cannot see it, feel it, have some form of evidence of “it” we have a hard time believing it,

and this goes for our trust in God as well.

But there are many things in life that are going to require us to walk by faith for what

God has for us to come to pass. Unfortunately, if we are not willing to trust God and step out on faith with a corresponding action there may be some things that we may never experience.

It starts with believing and trust…

For example, when a parent is trying to teach their child to ride a bike they just tell them

to get on the bike and start peddling. The child has to trust that the parent will not let

them fall. But the parent cannot begin to even give instructions until the child takes the

first step of getting on the bike.

James 2:17 says Faith by itself, if not accompanied by an action, is dead.

Our trust in God must be followed by an action in order for what we are hoping for to

come to pass in our lives.

Think about it. If I can see everything before I obtain it where is the power in that? Who gets the glory in that? Why would there be a need for something bigger than us. Truth be told we all know that in this life we have to believe in something greater.

We have to remember that our opportunities to experience overcoming obstacles and

having victories in our life strengthens our faith so that even in the future, we are able to be more than conquerors in any given situation. (David, the rock and Goliath) There are several things that we have already overcome that can strengthen us for what may come our way.

Walking by faith in God builds our spiritual muscles and allows us to have opportunities to glorify God.

Walking by faith will more than likely mean you are in a position where you do not have

the answer, you are not sure about the exact outcome, you have no clue about timing,

you have limited visible resources, and you may be taken out of your comfort zone.

1. Hebrews 11: 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that

cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them

that diligently seek him. This scripture speaks to the following:

  • If we are going to see God move in our lives, we are going to have to step

out in faith no matter what it looks like.

  • How can we say that God is pleased with us if we are not willing to trust

Him?

  • We should be more concerned about what God thinks than what people

think.

  • God rewards those who diligently seek Him by faith. Maybe we are not

experiencing the things we desire to experience because we are not really

putting our trust in Him.

Our faith walk is more than just about obtaining things it’s about experiencing God. Our faith walk manifests Gods perfect plan for our lives which in turn glorifies Him. The reward we get is just a bi-product from walking by faith.

Hebrews 11: 7- 11

By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear,

prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

8  By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after

receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing where he was going.

9  By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in

tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:

10  For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

11  Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.

Hebrews 11: 1

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Walking by could be the missing ingredient in your life. Faith is the ingredient to your healing, your deliverance and whatever else you need.

What is it that you are hoping for, asking God for, what is your heart’s desire? Faith is

the ingredient for the manifestation of these things to come to pass in your life.

Colossians 1:16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.

The things that we are in need of are not going to come from the things we can see.

We have to start thinking beyond what we can see, feel, and touch.
