Faith: “What Are You Watching For?”

Every day when we wake up, we arise with a perspective, outlook, or an expectation for that day. We have to ask ourselves for the most part what does this look like for us.

For most of us we envision our days based on how we see it with our natural eyes and many times the way that we see it or view it is not always the way God sees it. Our view is typically based upon our current circumstances, past mistakes, or simply how we are “feeling” that day.

Proverbs 23:7 says as a man thinks so is He.

This is a powerful scripture because if we don’t like where our thought pattern is we have the power to change it by changing our thoughts.

Walking by faith and not by sight is an avenue that we can take to reinforce our thought pattern so that we can think in a way that will propel us daily into the victories that God has for us. It will change our mindset, attitude and outlook on life. If we can change these three things we will feel empowered and be motivated to reach for the things that God has promised for us.

We must learn how to be somewhere away from our current circumstances that can limit us. A way for us to switch gears in our lives is to focus more on the Lord than our circumstances by faith.

Focus Points-

Work On Our Belief

Continuously Seek Him

Don’t Allow Weariness To Set In

Expect God to Bless Your In Your Diligence

Expect the Favor of God In Your Diligence

Expect the Blessings of God Not Something Negative

Seek Him With Your Whole Heart

Hebrews 11:6

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

This scripture emphasizes the importance of faith and dedicated pursuit of God in order to please Him and receive His favor.

In the natural what do we do as parents when we are proud of our children? We typically reward them with inspiring words or something to show them how proud we are about their efforts and successes. So it is with the Lord who is a good Father.

Galatians 6:9

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Many times we give up too easily and we give in to our pain, and challenges. We have to press and believe God through the pain, tears and any heartache that we may be experiencing.

Proverbs 3:3 to 4

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.

We all need favor. This world is in favor of it’s own. Therefore, we obtain what we need through the favor of God and the favor of man which is granted to us when we put our whole trust in the Lord.

Deuteronomy 4:29

But if from there (where you are) you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.

The definition of diligently is doing something thoroulghy and well. Can we honestly say that we are doing that? If not then if you believe in God then you believe in this scripture and this is an opportunity to change.

Do you want to change your position? Seek the face of God diligently right where you are. You don’t have to wait for your situation to change to seek after Him. He wants you to seek Him right where you are so that He can deliver you from the place you are in right now.
